History of the CMTC
The foundation and early
development for The Church Multiplication Training Center began in the
summer of 1991. Bill Malick, then director of church planting for the
Western District of the Missionary Church, consulted with Dr. Robert
Logan and Steve Ogne (Church Resource Ministries), George Bama (Barna
Research), Fred King (C&MA) and Robert Ransom (Missionary Church)
concerning the need for a training program for church planters.
The first CMTC BootCamp was held in Estes Park, Colorado in October
of 1992. Thirty-five people representing 12 new church plants from seven
denominations attended. From one BootCamp in 1992, the CMTC has now
trained over 5000 church planting projects for and with over 100 denominations.
Training is presented in English, Spanish and Korean languages.
 The CMTC is
incorporated in the state of Indiana as a non-profit corporation with 501 (c)(3) status
The CMTC subscribes
to the National Association of Evangelicals Statement of Faith
The CMTC is an interdenominational
ministry that exists to multiply reproducing churches through equipping
and empowering planters, pastors and spouses as well as leaders of
participating agencies.
